Lakhs and Crores

One of the basic items for my job that I am trying to get use to is the numbering system. The numbers of hundred thousand and millions do not exist over here. 100,000 is 1 lakh, 1,000,000 is 10 lakhs and 10,000,000 is 1 crore. Commas are used after 2 digits 1,50,000 or 1 lakh 50 thousand is 150,000. This is definitely throwing me off in conversations, but I am starting to get the hang of it.
