On Thursday I experienced the weakest interview ever. First he walked in wearing a dirty t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. He could not answer a single question including what are your strengths and what are your future goals. While thinking of an answer he made some funny face gestures. Most answers were one word yes answers. Then we asked what are your weaknesses and he answered he was very short tempered. He was an easy one to cross off the list.

Thurday's snack was a spicy veggie burger which turned into my supper. I have lost 2 notches on the belt so far this trip. I think if I stopped eating pizza a couple nights a week the weight would really be coming off.

This weekend I ran into the Brit again at the apartment. It is his last week here and he gave me a few more good stories. I am definitely glad he was here before me to straighten a few things out at the apartment complex.

The best story was at the swimming pool. After 3 weeks of using the pool, the management told him his swimming shorts were not regulation and he would have to change. His swimming shorts are the same as what I have, normal ones that go down a little above the knee. The requirement for the pool was to wear Speedos. The management took him into the locker room and had him pick out one of 6 pairs to use. He was swearing under his breath but went along with it. The next day he was still wearing the Speedos when he noticed a local was wearing normal swimming shorts. He went over to management and let him have it for not treating everyone the same. As a result, normal swimming shorts are ok to wear. I haven’t been asked to put on the Speedos yet. If I did there would be some sunburn to worry about.

  1. Stay away from the banana hamock unless you want that old guy to ask you back to his place again.
